This work, movably mounted on a wooden frame on a central axis, was captioned by Friedrich Neubauer in the subtitle “All ´cause of the Apple” meaning the biblical Fall of Man when Eve seduced Adam and made him eat from the apple despite of God´s orders. The artist interpreted this event to the effect that the fruit from the “tree of knowledge” lead to the evolution of man which further on lead to the technical development of mankind meaning man controlling technology which might lead in turn to technology controlling mankind. As a result the expulsion from Paradise could become reality...
