Was the “snail mail” meant to depict the alleged creepiness of the letter- and parcel mail? The jet fighter is starting, the carrier pigeon is flying, a balloon is on its way and the mailman is already running out of the picture. It is five to twelve already. Telegraphs are whirring, telecommunication tower and apartment tower set the background to the scene. The mail is in all places at the same time. And yet a subjective slowness is indicated here. Over decades Friedrich Neubauer planned mail buildings and processed “mail” from the artistic point of view.
