The morning pint after going to church has a long tradition in Franconia. The men meet in the pub and discuss the global political situation and after that the measures that are necessary in the village as here for example the introduction of electrical current supply in the village Schupf in 1946, _situated in the “Hersbrucker Schweiz” (“Hersbrucker Switzerland”). In the mean_time the women prepare Sunday lunch normally consisting of potato dumplings and roast pork, whereby “Schäufele” (shoulder of pork) is especially popular.
