Friedrich Neubauer used to go on hiking tours through his native area Franconia always with the sketch-pad in his hand. This way he created countless drawings of nature, architecture, men and animals. A choice of them is presented here. The characters are set off and show the unpretentious and indigenous life of the natives from those days to this day. The artist always was of the opinion that the photograph is not able to bring about the same effect.
