This nude, expressive in shape and color, was created by Friedrich Neubauer in the later years of his life. The exact year is unknown. The mystic atmosphere is superseded by almost brutally honest reality. The voluptuous forms and the just allegedly relaxed pose of the resting woman with jarring red contours graduated with complementary green and blue-yellow as well as black elements against a white background make the picture an expressively real one.
