Friedrich Neubauer lived to see the time of the “Cold War” and was aware of the fact, that a nuclear disaster was technically possible. Is it the dark-red lever in the upper half of the picture that might trigger the Apocalypse, the vision of the end of the world from the biblical Book of Revelation of St. John?
